ONGOING PROJECTS:

 

Aquatic Invasive Species Volunteers: We have on-going education, outreach and monitoring needs in Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties.  If you care about preventing the spread of AIS, are willing to participate in the brief training, and have a day or two a month, please contact us.

Social Media Manager: Do you love creating engaging content for social media? We need you to help keep our Facebook page up to date! We are looking for someone to create 3-4 posts a week. Content would include promoting upcoming events, sharing photos from community events, and posting educational materials about our current projects i.e. aquatic invasive species, healthy forests, etc.

Clean Boats Clean Waters Watercraft Inspector

Glacierland RC&D is seeking watercraft inspectors for the Clean Boats Clean Waters program in Manitowoc County. This is a part time, 15-20 hour per week limited term position for May - August 2023.  Multiple positions are needed.

Conservation Specialist

Glacierland RC&D is seeking a Conservation Specialist 

to work in partnership with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to collaborate with NRCS Field, Area, and State Office staff, along with partnering units of government and organizations, to promote, accelerate enrollment, and coordinate and implement the conservation provisions of the Farm Bill.

 

The Conservation Specialist will be responsible for a variety of duties which assists NRCS  District Conservationists and Area Staff Specialists in developing and carrying out a coordinated natural resources conservation program that is tailored to customers' needs and meets USDA and NRCS requirements.

 

This position will be an employee of Glacierland RC&D, will receive daily guidance from local NRCS staff and is based in the USDA/NRCS Area Office in Juneau, WI.

 

The anticipated start date to begin is July 10, 2023.
