ONGOING PROJECTS:

 

Aquatic Invasive Species Volunteers: We have on-going education, outreach and monitoring needs in Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties.  If you care about preventing the spread of AIS, are willing to participate in the brief training, and have a day or two a month, please contact us.

Social media manager: Do you love creating engaging content for social media? We need you to help keep our Facebook page up to date! We are looking for someone to create 3-4 posts a week. Content would include promoting upcoming events, sharing photos from community events, and posting educational materials about our current projects i.e. aquatic invasive species, healthy forests, etc.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Conservation Specialist - Appleton, WI

Work in a joint capacity with Glacierland Resource Conservation & Development  and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) to promote, accelerate enrollment, and coordinate and implement the conservation provisions of the Farm Bill.  The position will be based in the NRCS Area Office in Appleton, Wisconsin and will provide conservation technical assistance to agricultural producers and field offices located in Northeast and Southeast Wisconsin.  This position is responsible for a variety of duties which assists NRCS District Conservationists and NRCS Area GIS Specialists and other Area Staff Specialists in developing and carrying out a coordinated natural resources conservation program that is tailored to customers' needs and meets USDA, NRCS, and GLRI requirements.

 

Soil Conservationist - Appleton, WI

Resource Conservationist - Green Bay, WI

Work in a joint capacity with Glacierland Resource Conservation & Development Council, Inc. (Glacierland RC&D) and Brown County to promote, accelerate enrollment, and coordinate and implement the conservation provisions of the Farm Bill.  The position will be based in the Brown County Land & Water Conservation Department office in Green Bay, Wisconsin and will provide conservation technical assistance to landowners in Brown County. This position is responsible for a variety of duties which assists Brown County’s Land & Water Conservation Dept. in developing and carrying out a coordinated natural resources conservation program that is tailored to landowners' needs and meets county and USDA requirements.
